Natural Products for Hair and Skin

In case anyone is interested in natural hair and body care I thought I'd share some of the brands that I use. Because I have VERY sensitive skin (psoriasis) I realize now that using products with the least or rather NO harsh chemicals is actually what my skin and hair need and want. Of course it's taken me about 35 plus years to figure this out but better late then never, right?

It's hard to recommend what would be good for someone else cuz everyones skin and hair are different. I used alot of different products from these sites and honestly have not found one that I didn't like. I have loved them all and still do. It does get a tad expensive ordering sh*t from the internet every few months or so and addicting. Because once you use them, running down to the drug store or department store just ain't gonna cut it anymore. *chuckle* You be waiting on your package in the mail like a crackhead waiting on the dope man.

Anyway, here are some of the brands I've personally used thus far:

Oyin Handmade, her "Juices (i.e. Greg Juice, Frank Juice, etc) are DA BOMB! Blended Beauty I LOVE her kiddie line. I buy my girls shampoos and conditioners from her. Naani's Naturals Her Sulfate Free shampoo did wonders for my scalp. And the Acne Away Cleanser was not harsh on my skin. I also LOVE her body creme's!!! Kinky-Curly Their leave-in conditioner has done WONDERS for my girls hair. I was made it took me so long to find them. And the Curling Custard is a MUST have. She Scent It This is my newest addiction. The healing body butter is WONDERFUL and you can use it in your hair too. The "Tearless hair butter for kids" I have to hide from myself cuz I keep using it in my hair. She also makes some yummy shampoos. Let me stop lying, I think I'm going to order ALL her products. LOL.

So there you have it. Those are my hair and skin staples. Sometimes I cheat and go to Naturally Curly because they may have some of the re-up products I want from my brands. Plus they get my "crack" out to me in 3-5 days with one shipping fee. The other sites tend to have a 2 or 3 week turn around. So it's hurtful when I've run out and waited until PAST the last minute to buy more and have to wait almost a month before I can get more goodies.

Okay folks, enjoy! *smoochies*

i've tried the Curling Custard. i like it but i have to put somethin else on before it because its like a gel on my hair and the girls and makes our hair semi hard. not rock hard like gel but the curls are stiff. i guess it would be fine if i were twisting or braiding their hair but i like to let their curls go. but i've been braiding it up for the summer and haven't really been doing it at all. because when they get in the water all that you put in their hair is getting in their eyes. so i haven't really put anything in their hair unless i know they won't be getting in any water. i'll have to see what else is out there and on your list. i used to be on NC all the time.

I have been trying different products online too. I love Kinky-Curly Knot Today because I can air dry it without it feeling crunchy.

I have tried Carol's Daughter products and the Tui Oil, Spray and Conditioner were good. Now she has changed her ingredients and they are not all natural.

I have tried things from Sephora like Phyto stuff, which is expensive and it was alright.

It is hard trying to find good products for my natural hair. I miss the ease of perms not the perming process.

I definitely strive for natural skin/hair products. I order virgin shea butter in bulk and add my own oils and scents to it for a more cost effective solution. I'm so glad for the internet, I wouldn't have my natural products or my natural hair if it wasn't for the net!

Hey Chica. I'm so excited, I'm going to have to try this stuff. I like my hair curly, but after it completely dries it looks super bushy. I can't wait to see if the curl stuff works and to try it on the baby's hair too.

Looks like you guys are all settled.

Could you please find some facial products, please.

Girl, I have the moisturizer for my skin, but the facial wash.

I just bought ceraphil (SP) for my face. It's what dermatologists recommend, and it's done WONDERS for my skin, BUT

    (Reader Discretion Advised).

It's was giving me the heebie jeebies because there was something about it I couldn't put my finger on, and I did some research and finally, some blogger said it and the lightbulb went on in my head. . .

It looks and feels like semen (the clear part).

    EEW. Okay. Carry on.
